A soft woven loop band for the Google Fitbit Air, in a wider colour range than the one that came in the box. The stretch fabric weave breathes in warm weather, the metal slider adjusts by tiny increments rather than fixed holes, and at this weight you stop noticing you are wearing it. This is the band for everyday and for sleep, which on a screenless tracker like the Air means most of the time.
Hold the band by its outer edges on either side of the tracker and push firmly on the top of the tracker to pop it out. Line the tracker up with the alignment markings on the new band and press until it snaps into place. Give it a gentle tug to check it is seated. It should not move at all.
For accurate readings, wear it on the top of your wrist sitting behind your wrist bone, snug enough that the tracker does not rotate or slide, but loose enough to slide your little finger underneath. Tighten it a notch for workouts and loosen it afterwards.
The Fitbit Air uses its own pod and cradle system, so bands for the Charge, Inspire, Luxe or Versa will not fit it, and Air bands will not fit those models. If you own more than one Fitbit, our Fitbit band compatibility guide shows what crosses over between models.
Will this fit my wrist?
One size covers most adult wrists. The band is micro-adjustable through its metal slider, so rather than choosing a size you set the fit yourself and adjust it whenever you like.
Can I wear a fabric loop band swimming?
The Fitbit Air itself is water resistant to 50 metres, but a fabric band will hold water and take hours to dry properly. Use a silicone band for swimming and heavy sweat sessions.
Can I shower in it?
An occasional shower will not harm it, but do it daily and the fabric stays damp and starts to hold soap residue. Dry it thoroughly and rotate to a second band if you shower in it often.
Is this an official Google band?
No. This is an OzStraps band built to fit the Fitbit Air cradle, which is why we can offer colours Google does not sell.
Does the band affect my tracking data?
Yes, more than people expect. Optical heart rate sensors need steady skin contact, so a band that lets the tracker rotate or slide will give you worse readings than one that holds it still. Fit matters as much as the band itself.
How do I take the band off?
Hold the outer edges of the band and push firmly on the top face of the tracker until it pops out of the cradle. No tools needed.
